Finished with your Christmas shopping yet? If you’re anything like me then you probably haven’t ticked off a single name on your Christmas list — if you even have a Christmas list, that is. That puts you (and me) in a pickle as the never-ending traffic situation just seems to keep everyone away from doing their Christmas purchasing. The solution, obviously, is, if you can’t get to the stores, let the stores come to you.

This is where eCommerce sites like Lazada come in. You do the shopping at your convenience, whether while wearing pajamas at home or using your mobile device when you’re waiting in line at the MRT. Even better, you’ll often find that deals may be found if you know where to find them.

Starting tonight, you will find on Lazada.

The retailer is launching it annual month-long Christmas sale starting midnight tonight, just a few hours away, where it promises to give attractive bargains to online shoppers. Dubbed, “Online Revolution,” this is the fifth year in a row that Lazada has reinforced the idea of online shopping to Filipinos. With the theme, “Brands for All,” this year’s sale is significantly larger than last year’s. Lazada is expecting over 4.5 million visits to the site when the sale launches. That’s over half the population of Metro Manila, twice the total number of OFWs, and six times more daily foot traffic than the largest mall in the country. They’ve shored up their servers, bandwidth, and logistics capacities to ensure that their service flows smoothly.

Online Revolution promises over a million deals to be availed of over its one-month duration. This includes their 11 Peso deals (because 11.11, duh), limited-time flash deals, deep discount top deals, and brand promotions. While Lazada may have started with a focus on tech, this year adds numerous brands across lifestyle, health and beauty, fashion, home appliances, groceries and sports to the catalog. This includes brands like Samsung, Mamy Poko, Unilever, Microsoft, JBL, Lenovo, Cherry Mobile, L’Oreal and so much more.

They’ve also partnered with various payment methods to give buyers options in their shopping. Some payment partners such as Mastercard will offer additional discounts to each purchase (terms apply). Cash on Delivery will, of course, still be offered as an option to the 95% of Filipinos who do not have a credit card.

If you want to know what kinds of items you can expect to go on-sale tonight, you can check out the Lazada page now. In fact, log-in early and stake your bandwidth before the site gets crowded. I’m already on the site now, in fact. Can’t be too slow, ya know?
