Good Grooming Starts With Shopping at Watsons
One of the best compliments you can give anyone is, “You don’t look your age.” This is, of course, when you’re implying that someone looks younger than the number of years under his or her belt and not the other way around. Well, Watsons, Asia’s leading personal care retailer, does not look its 175 years (and we mean that in a good way). The brand has never looked more modern than it does today, with its stores designed to provide a convenient, antiseptic and professional retail experience.
A couple of fast facts first. Watsons started out as the Hong Kong Dispensary back in 1841 and changed its name to A.S. Watson & Company in 1871, after Dr. Alexander Skirving Watson who joined the company as Manager in 1858. Watsons first opened shop as a pharmacy in the Philippines way back in 1883, and the following year opened a soft drink factory in Manila. History!
As part of its 175th year anniversary promotional campaigns, Watson is helping out the menfolk to step up their style through proper grooming habits, encouraging them to take better care of themselves by offering its Father’s Day month specials. This includes discounts of up to 50% on the following grooming essentials: Nivea Men Whitening Acne Oil Control Facial Scrub 50g, Safeguard Men Sports Energy 2 in 1 Hair + Body Wash 400ml and Gillette Mach 3 with Nano – Thin Blades Razor, which can all be found in the stores’ “Mandated” section. Other brands you can find in the section are Ponds Men, Axe, Old Spice, Vaseline Men, Master, Adidas, Rexona, Nivea, Safeguard and Gillette. Watsons also carries products under its own brand name, like five-blade razors with cartridges, shaving gel, nose pore strips and deep cleansing facial wash.
This promotion kicked off last June 7, with a shopping afternoon for its brand ambassadors and media friends. Discounts will run until June 22 only, so hit up your nearest Watsons so you can look this good when you’re 175!
