Gran Trail Cycles Opens Latest Branch in Kapitolyo

Here’s some great news for bike riders in the Pasig area. Cycling purveyors Gran Trail Cycles has just opened a branch along West Capitol Drive in Kapitolyo, its latest store and first for the year.

It opened its doors last Tuesday but I’m told its Grand, er, Gran opening will take place in March. That should give them some time to fully set up the place. Right now, they’re in the process of bringing in stock and setting up the displays. They’ve already got the Niner and Rocky Mountains in-store, plus a few Trek road and city bikes. Other brands they carry include Kali and Melon helmets, Birzman tools, Wolf Tooth Components, Mortop grips, Ibera bags and Xpedo pedals. No foldable bikes yet, but those are coming as well.

If you’re planning to drop by, the store is located near the cheap-but-awesome Thai restaurant Smile Elephant, perfect for a quick bite while you have your bike tuned. It’s within striking distance from where I live, so this looks like it’ll be my LBS – that’s rider-speak for Local Bike Shop. I hear they’ll be serving coffee as well, so that’s a big plus. Can’t bike without my go-to fuel.
